Menstruation is continuous.
Access should be too.
The Middflow Project explores how menstrual health access can be supported through reliable, consistent systems — designed for the environments where daily life actually happens.

Menstruation does not pause between awareness campaigns. It happens every month, across decades of a person’s life. Yet access systems are often designed around moments rather than continuity.

Menstrual health is shaped by multiple systems working together. Community, Infrastructure, Distribution, Conversation, Equity and Access — not as isolated campaigns, but as a continuous ecosystem.
Each node represents a system that influences whether access is reliable or fragmented — and each depends on the others to function well.
Three interconnected areas guide the work of The Middflow Project.
Menstrual health does not occur only in clinics or classrooms. It happens in homes, workplaces, public transport, community spaces, and markets.

Community participation plays an important role in strengthening the systems that support menstrual health access. Understanding how communities experience access — and where systems fall short — is essential to improving them.
The Middflow Project engages in conversations, research observations, and community events that contribute to a deeper understanding of menstrual health access across different environments.
Every contribution supports research, community engagement, and the development of systems that help menstrual health access become more reliable.
Support the project’s research and community engagement work. Every contribution helps Middflow explore and strengthen the systems that shape menstrual health access.
